Soft Starters

A soft starter is a solid-state device that protects AC electric motors from damage caused by sudden influxes of power by limiting the large initial inrush of current associated with motor startup. They provide a gentle ramp up to full speed and are used mainly at startup only.

    Elevator Disconnects

    A customer needed four elevator shunt trip disconnects immediately. Lead time from Bussman/Eaton was 4-5 weeks. We supplied our enclosed circuit breaker with shunt trip and auxiliaries in a pad-lockable handle as per elevator code. We built from stock and delivered the next day. Our enclosed circuit breakers can be used as elevator shunt trip disconnects. We assemble a circuit breaker, shunt trip, and integral auxiliaries in a NEMA 12 pad-lockable enclosure with a throwing handle as per code. While the above units are enclosed circuit breakers, we can also supply fusible units with fire alarm safety interface relays, pilot lights, key test switches, and other commonly built accessories.
