Our low voltage UL891 switchboards offer maximum voltage rating of 600Vac and a maximum busbar rating of 6000 Amps. We offer multiple options that you can integrate into our design, including various types of main breaker ratings and features such as Arc Flash Mitigation systems, surge protection devices, metering, protection relays, and custom field terminations and throat connections such as close coupling with existing transformers.

UL 891 Custom Switchboard For A Solar Farm

A solar farm in Winchester, Virginia needed 1600A outdoor switchgear and lead time was critical. The sooner they could get the gear on the ground, the sooner the farm could begin operations, driving revenue for the facility.

We manufactured this 3PH 1600A outdoor switchgear in 4 weeks. All production was completed in-house, from 3D modeling, submittal package, bill of materials, and all manufactured components.

For this specific switchgear section, we used the GE Powerbreak II fixed bolt in main breaker, and GE Spectra branch breakers. The switchgear was also equipped with control wiring and an Arc-Flash Reduction System, or "Maintenance mode" as it is also known in the field.
